About this place
Kaziranga National Park is one of India's most important wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage property. Set in the Brahmaputra Valley of Assam, it protects floodplain grasslands, wetlands, and forests that support the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses along with elephants, wild buffalo, deer, birds, and tigers. Visits are seasonal, usually built around jeep safaris in different ranges, with weather and river conditions shaping access.
